School starts for band members Monday, August 11 for Freshman Orientation and Marching Band & Colorguard Camp! Band Camp is an intense but fun, week of afternoon and evening rehearsals and activities. Students will learn the basics of marching, musicianship and make some new friends to start the year off right. Our first home game performance August 22 so there is much to do in a short time.
Attendance at all band rehearsals and performances is critical for the success of individual students as well as the group. Get these dates on your calendar right away.
Students should look out to be added to a marching band team on Microsoft Teams very soon so they get all the latest camp information.

The band has two events the week of 10/7. Please see below. The Reedley Fiesta Parade (Saturday 10/12) is on G St. from Reedley High School down to 14th St. Parking is available in the surrounding neighborhoods. Please do not follow the band busses and attempt to park in the bus area on any marching band trip. Busses and the equipment trailer typically park in areas designated for those vehicles only. The parade line-up is TBA at this point. A line-up update will be posted as soon as it becomes available. Map of the route is on the 2nd page of the document below.
These will be our first uniformed events. Band members will be fit in uniforms this week. The uniform shoe order has been received and shoes will be issued this week.
Band Members will need BLACK SOCKS to wear with this uniform. There are no changing facilities at the parade. Band members should always wear undergarments that allow them to change in public. Often this is in a parking lot or right in the street.
All students should wear their marching band t-shirt for after the parade for identification purposes.
A parade route map is included on the second page of the document below.
The Caruthers Fair is an open gate fair and there is no charge for admission.
The Roosevelt Band is entry #31 in the parade. The parade begins at 10:00am. The route runs from north to south down Tahoe St. between Marsch Ave. and Raider Ave.
